Recep Cakal, Head of Office for Information Community at Government Planning Organization (DPT) said they are waiting for the action plan to be approved, after that they will continue their works in hurry. Recep akal expressed that they set an action plan with a head office assigned to a deputy advisor office within DPT, regarding E-Government works of Turkey and they have no doubt that the action plan will be actualized.
Answering turk-internet.com’s question suggesting that there are critics saying “civilian community organizations are not provided to join those works”, Recep akal said “As head of Office for Information Community, works carried by us are open to everyone including civilian community organizations, we give great importance to opinion of every section of people with our experts and working groups.” Stating that he finds critics in line with this, unsupportable, said:
“I find such critics unsupported. Though they join works together with us, those civilian community organizations expressing their opinions leave and write an open letter to the government. These kinds of activities clog the works.”
Disagreeing with the allegation of indefiniteness of works, Recep Cakal answered the question suggesting works carried out are cloudy and indefinite and asking: “In which stage of E-government are we going to be by the year 2005” by emphasizing the importance of following a planned path, and saying “Works for the conversion of Turkey to E-Government will absolutely be actualized, that is what we are making basis works for. In order to specify a target, infrastructure works must be completed before everything. After they are completed targets will be specified.”

KRNES: “OUR SUPPORT WILL CONTINUE”
Abdullah Kornes, President of Information Society of Turkey, KAMU-BIB, said they made negotiations with Abdullatif Sener, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State and their support to contribute E-Government works is absolute. Expressing that they made a very efficient negotiation with Minister Sener, Kornes said “Our interest and support to those works, whose coordination is undertaken by DPT will continue.”
