Partner Communications, a subsidiary of Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (Hutchison Telecom), built the first GSM wireless network in Israel and provides GSM/GPRS wireless voice and data services to 2.4 million subscribers under the OrangeT brand. The deployment, by integration specialist We! Consulting Group expands ArcSight’s leadership in both international markets and the telecommunications industry.

“Providing 3G wireless services to over two million subscribers requires cutting-edge network security,” said Kobi Hirsh, Chief Security Officer, Partner Communications. “ArcSight provides functionality that enhances our ability to decipher true threats and to act upon them.”

ArcSight ESM ties together all security data generated by multiple disparate security devices in an intelligent system that allows security teams to manage compliance and best practice requirements, communicate the status of security to a broader audience and gain visibility into insider threats, all while ensuring protection at the perimeter.

“Telecommunications providers face the same kinds of sophisticated network threats shared by all large organizations, and they need to protect their subscribers’ information as well as their own information assets,” said
Steve Sommer, senior vice president of marketing and business development, ArcSight. “Partner Communications is a leader in next-generation wireless services, and we’re delighted that they have deployed ArcSight as their trusted ESM solution for dealing with global security concerns.”
