Athens/London 25 July 2011 A new regional networking forum for data centre service companies, enterprise IT leadership and fibre connectivity providers will take place in Athens 19 September 2011 (www.datacentreseurope.com).

The forum will include a special focus on the regional market for data centres, enterprise and their evolving outsourcing needs as emerging private clouds, new technologies and market growth impact across the sector. Studies by BroadGroup, the event researchers and organizers have demonstrated the favourable economic impact of data centres, and the investment opportunity they represent. The programme includes a regional leadership panel, a market perspective of Eastern Mediterranean and South Eastern Europe, with current trends in demand in datacentre markets across the region and growth forecasts, datacentre finance and investment, colocation business models, sustainability and efficiency in datacentres, modular datacentres, fibre connectivity and cloud evolution.

We are delighted to sponsor this first regional forum for the southern Europe and eastern Mediterranean region, said Mr Apostolos Kakkos, CEO of LAMBA Hellix Datacenters SA, The forum recognizes the commercial and geographic importance of the region as a growth market for the data centre sector. Investment in infrastructure and in particular further deployment of data centres regionally, in which LAMDA Hellix will take a significant role, will help to drive economic activity and we look forward to discussing these issues at the forum.

Sponsors and partners of the event include: APC by Schneider Electric, LAMDA Hellix Datacenters SA, MedNautilus a Telecom Italia Sparkle Group company, OTEGLOBE, CE-Colo, and the EBRD. Media partners include Datacentres.com Daily News, The Datacenter Journal, Bvent, Balkans.com, Boogarlists, allconferences.com.

We are especially delighted by the participation of LAMDA Hellix Datacenters SA at this inaugural event commented Philip Low, managing director of BroadGroup. Supported by regional players, and unique content, and an exciting line-up of speakers, companies engaged in the data centre sector are ensuring they secure presence at this forum.
