Recent research underlines the pivotal role that ISVs play in driving sales of IT and Telecoms products and services. Against a background of general industry decline the combined revenues of the top 500 European ISVs increased by 11.7% to €97.7bn ($142.9bn) according to ISVs in Europe – The Top 500 a new database report from IT Europa.
The European ISV Convention 2010 has been designed to build upon the success of the first two conventions, which were staged in Brussels and Frankfurt in February 2007 and 2008 respectively, and is expected to attract leading ISVs from all over Europe. The convention will feature a high-level conference programme with leading industry speakers addressing the challenges and opportunities facing ISVs in Europe. Specific topics this year will include the impact of Cloud Computing, Business Process Re-engineering and Data and Content Management on software and solution development and delivery, new business models such as SaaS, strategies for growth, collaboration and cooperation.
“In a difficult economic climate in which pressures on capital budgets have intensified, applications and the business value that they generate have become increasingly important in driving growth in both the IT and Telecoms sectors,” said Alan Norman, Managing Director of IT Europa. “The European ISV Convention 2010 provides a unique opportunity for Europe’s ISV community to come together to address the issues affecting the development of the software applications market. It also provides a framework within which major hardware and software vendors as well as service providers and system integrators can meet and engage with the directors and decision makers of Europe’s most significant ISVs and Solution Providers to create business opportunities.”
The European ISV Convention 2010 will take place at The Tower, a Guoman Hotel, London, on 25 February 2010. ISVs wishing to attend the convention and vendors or service providers interested in sponsorship opportunities can find further information at www.isvconvention.com. ISV participation is by invitation and is free of charge to qualifying delegates.
