Due to the huge success of the European IT Excellence Awards last year IT Europa has created an independent set of awards purely for ISVs, The European Software Excellence Awards.
There were so many high quality entries in the ISV categories at last years European IT Excellence Awards that we decided to create a separate event just for the European ISV community, commented Alan Norman, Managing Director of IT Europa.
We felt that the number of categories needed to expand to cater for the numbers, range and quality of entries we were receiving. That led us to the conclusion that the ISV community deserved its own awards event, highlighting the industrys skills and achievements.
Last years awards event drew entries from 31 countries, with 62 companies from 22 countries making the finals. We had stunning entries from right across Europe, commented John Chapman, Editorial Director at IT Europa. Unfortunately there were many excellent entries that never made it to the finals due to the sheer number of entries. This was particularly the case for the ISV categories.
This year, in creating a separate European Software Excellence Awards and expanding the number of categories, we will be able to provide a more effective showcase for the breadth and quality of solutions that Europes ISV community deliver.
Award entries have to be submitted by 6th January 2012 and finalists will be notified by 20th January 2012. The winners and finalists will be honoured at a celebration dinner at the Grand Hyatt, Berlin on 1st March 2012 at the conclusion of the European ISV Convention 2012 that will be staged at the same location during the day.
