Later this month, fastmobile will deploy its ‘fmX’ (fastmobile experience) suite of technologies within BT’s core network. The trial will offer a compelling messaging proposition to further develop the fixed and mobile convergence leadership of BT. The service will make it easy for customers to send Instant Messages and receive emails while on the move.
“We wanted a partner that could share BT’s ambition and vision for convergence, which we have put at the forefront of our competitive positioning,” said Steven Evans, BT. “fastmobile’s track record of delivering innovative, integrated messaging platforms made them stand out as our first choice supplier.”
“We are delighted to be working with BT to trial a range of innovative messaging services,” said John Hoffman, fastmobile’s chief executive officer. “Other than SMS, and despite huge investments, no mobile messaging service has yet achieved mass market traction. Our partnership will change that and develop consumer demand for IM, MMS and mobile email services.”
