Huawei’s CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.A, is a commercial solution which provides operators with a future-oriented, high-performance and profitable full-service platform, supporting abundant services such as VoIP, wireless broadband access, and streaming media.
The service flow-based mechanism of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A solution, allows distinguished dispatching for voice flow, video flow and normal data flow that ensures a high quality subscriber experience with VT services. Huawei’s industry-leading CDMA2000 BTS technologies reduce power consumption by 44%, and power amplification efficiency is increased up to 33%.
Huawei first previewed its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A service at 3G World Congress 2005 in Hong Kong where customers experienced firsthand how the device delivers high speed and large bandwidth. Huawei also set up a video monitoring service experiment on the Shanghai high-speed subway.
At mobile speeds of over 100 kilometers per hour, the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A delivered a data rate of 2.4 Mbps on the forward link and 1.6 Mbps on the reverse link.

players in the global CDMA market with a 14.5% share and ranks first in the emerging CDMA market share, securing 31 Evolution Data Only (EV-DO) commercial contracts.
Huawei CDMA products serve 60 Million CDMA subscribers. In 2006, Huawei won a national contract from Leap Wireless, to provide the first All-IP CDMA2000 network in USA, and it has worked with CANTV/Movilnet in Venezuela, PBTL in Bangladesh and Starcomms in Nigeria.
