Today, global businesses across telecom, financial services, government and other network-driven industries rely on Intelliden to enable them to deliver next generation services by ensuring compliance and completely automate network change and configuration management.
Network-driven organizations are facing intense pressures to launch revenue enhancing next generation services, reduce operational expenditure and ensure compliance.
Network operations are also becoming increasingly
complex due to exponential growth in the number of supporting systems, devices and traffic required for IP communications, said Alan Black, CEO of Intelliden.
For our customers, high network performance, reliability and security are not negotiable. Our success in 2006 is a clear indication that more and more companies are relying on Intelliden solutions to help manage their increasingly dynamic mission critical networks.
International Customer Wins Intelliden won a number of important new customers in 2006, including KPN – a major European communications service provider with over 30 million customers. KPN is one of the worlds first operators to commit to an All IP network strategy, driven by increased competition, the rising cost of maintaining its legacy networks, and the need to rapidly introduce new revenue-enhancing services.
Intelliden is helping KPN to accelerate activation of value added services such as IPTV over its next generation network. Intelliden also received a number of additional orders for new solutions and expansion from existing customers, a testament to the confidence shown by these customers and to the value of Intellidens award winning solutions. Intellidens impressive customer list includes telecommunications and financial services organizations such as British Telecom, TELUS, and VISA.
Significant Revenue Growth Propelled by increased market demand for intelligent networking solutions and continued focus on ensuring customer satisfaction, Intelliden enjoyed significant sales momentum in 2006; Company revenues saw double digit revenue growth from fiscal year 2005 with increases in both new and existing business for new software licenses, professional services and maintenance.
Significant Product Enhancements Intelliden rolled out new functionality and enhancements to the Intelliden R-Series, an Intelligent Networking software solution that helps companies control, manage and scale their networks. New capabilities focused on enabling companies to perform service fulfillment quickly and accurately, manage network operations more efficiently, enforce security policies and manage compliance requirements consistently.
In addition to the rudimentary managed device support offered by traditional vendors, Intelliden uniquely provides modeled support for standardized representation of the device configuration and capabilities. The company significantly extended its modeled and managed support for new device vendor types, models and operating systems.
Expansion of Executive Team and Board Intelliden continued to add industry talent and experience to its management team with the appointment of Tamara Steffens as vice president of worldwide sales, a veteran sales executive with more than 20 years in the software, hardware and telecom industries. In addition, Intelliden tapped Jonathan Shantz, a former Cisco executive, to join its board of directors. Shantz has an extensive background developing and delivering new products and data services to the communications service provider and
networking industries.
Strategic Alliances Two strategic alliances were inked in 2006. Intelliden signed an alliance
partnership with OPNET Technologies, a provider of management software for networks and applications, to combine Intellidens knowledge of the real-time state of the network with OPNETs network-level analysis, including routing, addressing, protocol configuration and network resiliency.
Intelliden also announced an alliance with Atos Origin, a major systems integrator, to give Intelliden greater access to the European and Asian communications service provider marketplace.
Commitment to Develop Intellectual Property Intelliden received a U.S. Patent for technology enabling the dynamic allocation of IP network resources and bandwidth management to scale the delivery of next generation services such as IPTV, video-on-demand (VoD), gaming, VOIP, and other broadband services. From its founding, the company has devoted considerable resources to its ongoing commitment to developing Intellectual Property. The issued patents and patents pending are a reflection and foundation to that commitment. International Expansion Intelliden gained significant traction in Europe where many communications service providers are rolling out IP networks.
To support this, Intelliden expanded its R&D center in Northern Ireland Science Park in Belfasts docklands to house its software developers, test engineers and network specialists. Invest NI, Northern Irelands main economic development organization, has invested more than six million dollars into the lab to accelerate the creation and growth of the R&D activities.
