Will mobile ad campaigns be the next foray into the usage of mobile ad space after mobile advertising? In a recent news by Mashable, one thinktank wants to try to influence people regarding their opinions on the HealthCare initiative now challenged by the Supreme Court of the United States known as ObamaCare, so in an effort to reach out to their target audience, mobile advertisements are targeted to those who searched for the key term Supreme Court and standing within a two block radius of the court itself.

The American Action Forum were trying to target conservative activists and journalists and convince them to change their opinions, while operating at a fairly low cost for using mobile advertising to influence people. This will be a fairly new start to the utilizing the mobile ad space besides just the commercial aspects of it.

A new study that was released Marin Software showed that advertising on mobile just overtook the success of advertising on desktop computers. Some 15.1% paid Google ad clicks in December 2011 come from smartphone and tablets, a 280% increase, from the 5.4% ad clicks in January 2011. As smartphones and tablets are invading the market, mobile advertising is taking a precedent at creating new grounds to enable more mobile advertising varieties.

While mobile ad campaigns are not a new initiative, taking campaigning to a whole new definition is. It means putting different voices on the mobile sphere, especially when more people stare and surf the net on their mobile phone screens more than the computer screens, a cost-effective and impactful campaign must be used to target audiences.
Furthermore, mobile ad campaigns are capable of using certain terms that are based on keywords and even distance. As the example given above, anyone who uses a keyword search term and were standing close to the actual building will receive the mobile ads targeted at them, mobile advertising tools are getting smarter at determining who are their target market that could influence other peoples opinions by seeing these mobile ads first.

Mobile ad campaigns are also viewed more seriously from the commercial point of view. It can help boost business for local based business corporations, and since they dont really need a mass audience, all they need is a mobile advertising network, such as MobGold to devise a plan to target nearby mobile traffic and with that, they can make offers like discounts, promotions so that it will entice the people to stop over and buy their products.

Mobile ad campaigns are the first step to gaining the trust of a target market, and it is important to know that sometimes, broad-based marketing does not work. With the mobile marketing tools getting refined daily, businesses, brand owners, or influencers could utilize and devise a really great mobile ad campaign to drive interest or convince their target market, of the products or ideas that they are trying to sell.
