Interactive Medica today announced the successful roll-out of its leading web-based sales management software to support the new Turkish operation of a major pharmaceutical company. One of the fundamental building blocks of the new sales organisation, the solution was implemented in just five weeks and is running in Turkish to support local language requirements.

The company’s complete sales staff of 100+ people will rely on the solution to provide them with the information needed to do their job, while management now has the tools to be able to monitor and control activity quickly and transparently. The implementation has been tailored to support specific business practices, such as the need for individual sales staff to provide advance monthly plans for managerial approval.

Turkey accounts for around 40 per cent of the total Middle Eastern pharmaceutical market* and its growing pharmaceutical sector sells up to 1.3 billion products every year**.

The major pharmaceutical organisation selected Interactive Medica due to its deep market knowledge, understanding of its needs and ability to deliver to tight implementation deadlines. The company’s secure, web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) model meant that it can be quickly and cost-effectively tailored to the pharmaceutical company’s processes. This means that adding users as the sales force expands is instantaneous, ensuring that IT supports changing business needs.

“Emerging markets such as Turkey have been highlighted as the key growth areas for large pharmaceutical companies,” said Richard Jenkinson, Managing Director, Interactive Medica. “However to successfully enter and thrive in these new markets requires nimbleness and flexibility. To support this pharmaceutical companies require IT systems that have rich functionality and are adaptable to meet changing needs and tight timescales. The combination of our pharmaceutical experience and the SaaS-based model made us the perfect choice for this major new venture. Our solution provides a backbone for the sales organisation so that it can quickly adapt and successfully grow in the Turkish market.”

With over 140 successful client implementations, Interactive Medica is the premier supplier of web-based commercial software specifically tailored for the complex demands of the European pharmaceutical industry. Using its vast industry experience, Interactive Medica ensures that the application is tailored to the needs of each business with a high percentage of an employee’s tasks and information accessible through a single screen. This ease of use increases employee satisfaction, guarantees uptake and reduces the need for training.

The Software as a Service (SaaS) model provides a secure, flexible method of delivering systems to the pharmaceutical market. It ensures rapid roll-out, the ability to tailor applications to business process and user needs, minimal IT requirements and scalability – users and functionality can be easily added or removed as company needs change. Security is safeguarded through high level encryption protection, with data, and communications access stored in a class leading secure location.
