Launching with an initial Automotive focus, Platform V is set to introduce a number of additional vertical channels, including Travel, in the coming weeks. A number of well-known Automotive sites including vcars.co.uk, autoinsider.co.uk, carenthusiast.co.uk and motoring.co.uk have all signed up to become part of Platform V’s new Automotive vertical.
Platform V’s approach aggregates a number of quality publishers into content-similar channels offering advertisers increased reach and a larger, more relevant audience base.
James Saidman, Head of Platform V said: “As internet audiences continue to fragment into niche interest channels, the question this raises is how do planners and buyers continually find and engage with these audiences in a time and cost effective manner? We believe Platform V answers this fundamental question. Our strategy is to become another automatic buying point for Agencies when booking their ad campaigns.”
Platform V’s performance-minded approach enables agencies to run campaigns in a variety of formats, including rich media, integrated sponsorships and keyword targeting on specific pages or on a ‘run of channel’ basis, with all campaigns optimised to achieve the client’s required performance ambition. Major automotive brands including Dodge, Jeep, Mercedes, Lexus, Citroen, Skoda and Vauxhall have already booked activity on Platform V’s Automotive vertical.
Platform V’s approach is also an attractive proposition to smaller publishers since it offers higher CPMs and faster sell through rates than ‘blind networks’. Publishers also benefit from increased ad revenue including brand campaign budgets, through Media Initiatives Group’s long-standing agency relationships and are account managed on an individual basis, rather than just a number within a faceless ad or affiliate network.
Rob Gay, Managing Director, Media Initiatives Group, added: “We’ve given serious thought on how to target the Internet’s lucrative long tail audiences in a cost effective way and are confident that Platform V will deliver results for both advertisers and web publishers. Once again Media Initiatives Group is driving innovation within the industry.”
