I am not only so excited as the head of Vodafone Europe, but also an engineer and former R&Der (i.e. research and developmenter), so I have, lets say, some, lots of sympathy for network achieved today. Proud, probably for mainly two reasons.
First is for what has been achieved by Vodafone Turkey in the past 2 years and under the leadership of Serpil and her team. I was sharing with the team I dont know whether I can share that with the press but well I was sharing with the team yesterday that in 20 years in this industry, I have never seen any single operating company increasing its market share so fast in less than 12 months.
So, I can tell you that we Vodafone as a group are extremely proud of what have been achieved by Vodafone Turkey. And Vodafone Turkey is a real leader, I would say, even a kind of role model for us in many areas. Probably, because it’s centered around the brand, around the customer experience where I guess what has been delivered there in Turkey is just amazing. So, proudness of, lets say, sharing this type of experience with the team and trying to grab as much as I can for the rest of Vodafone group.
Second, I am obviously proud to be there for the relaunch of Oksijen. As you know, innovation is the art of Vodafone values. And we all know that in a world which is more and more data centric where, lets say, there is this big shift from voice to data, where we are facing everyday new competitors coming from different planets. Of course, innovation will be key to keep our competitive advantage, to keep our edge and to differentiate ourselves mid and long-term so to sustain our market shares and our revenue growth.
So, Oksijen is a part of this innovation phenomenon within Vodafone and we are extremely proud to have this centre of expertise within Vodafone. With so many talents that you have seen and that you have heard, with so many skills which is a real application factory for the group which has already delivered a lot, a lot for Turkey, lots of lets say projects that we mentioned on platforms which allows to develop so many new solecisms that are worth.
But also probably more important in my eyes, is also projects which are developed for the group, and I guess that the example even if I have not always caught everything that was said in Turkish but nevertheless – lets say what has been developed around the location base solecisms and Vodafone locate which will be launched by Friedrich Joussen, our Vodafone CEO in Germany and Serpil next week will receive it, is extremely important, because that shows that what you are doing is diffusing within Vodafone as a whole.
So, to conclude, I would say that I guess that in 2 years Vodafone Turkey has conquered real pivotal key role within Vodafone, and we are extremely proud to have all of you on board and just to make sure that you can irrigate your entrepreneur experience, your brand mindset, your innovation capabilities and help us to achieve the success of Vodafone, so thank you for that.
