Portal) at the Internet World conference and exhibition in June,
Dialogue has developed a unique mass market inbound MMS capability to
allow organisations to receive, filter, action and archive large chunks
of video clips submitted virtually simultaneously from anywhere in the
world.
The application is seen to have vast potential for major news networks,
as well as being the vehicle of change for a whole range of new
opportunities across all business sectors.
“Recent news events have shown the potential of mobile telephone cameras
but from today news organisations will be able to implement their own
customised capability – attracting vast ‘eyewitness’ footage which they
will be able to instantly edit and screen,” said Dialogue Managing
Director Paul Griffiths.
“The MMS features of MAP will give news organisations a robust, scalable
service complete with in-bound screening which can be set, for example,
to rule out still pictures or audio or text – allowing just the material
through which they need.
“It really puts a news camera in the pockets of the people.”
In addition to its news organisation application, Dialogue, who provided
the text voting technology behind two of this year’s highly successful
TV shows Celebrity Fame Academy and Big Brother 6, already see the
entertainment industry showing considerable interest. A future use, for
example, could be in a scenario where people seeking auditions for
programmes such as The X Factor could submit a brief video and message
for assessment.
Dialogue’s new service will be demonstrated for the first time anywhere
in the world on stand 8 at the Mobile Content World exhibition at
Olympia in London starting tomorrow (September 13).
