Visiongain, an independent business information provider for the Telecoms, Pharmaceutical, Defence, Energy and Metals industries, are the authors of a recent report looking into the mobile Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) market throughout 2012 to 2017. Examining both the mobile VoIP market and impact that LTE will have on mobile VoIP. With the current VoIP market seeing revenues of up to $2.5 billion.

The report concludes leading cheap international calls provider Firstnumber and their predictions regarding consumers and their ability to not only make the most of current technology but to also source cheaper alternatives. The success of the mobile VoIP market is hailed as the combination of the uptake in smartphone users along with the rise of VoIP tools and applications being provided, thus meeting the demand.

The report suggests that the mobile VoIP market is currently at a pivotal point in it’s life cycle. And there is a current battle between consumers looking to save money and take full advantage of it’s benefits whilst network operators are keen to throttle and barring customers use of VoIP over their networks. The global adoption of VoIP services has had an impact on text messaging and long-distance phone calls over their networks.

The spokesperson from Firstnumber commented:

Visiongain’s report truly reflects society and the will of consumers to save money and truly make the most out of VoIP.

A paradigm shift has began and consumers have gotten used to free services, therefore going back to high data tariffs and bills is an unlikely option.

Along with a critical overview of the current market and forecasts on the next stages of development until 2017, there are 67 tables, charts and graphs that help provide visual analysis, helping to explain current and future trends within the mobile VoIP market.

The spokesperson continues:

Everyone here at Firstnumber are proud to also provide UK consumers a quick and easy way of making cheap international calls. That involves no account set-up or hidden costs, with calls starting from as little as 1p per minute. Gone are the days where high mobile bills are expected and tolerated.

Ultimately the report concludes that the market for mobile VoIP service is on the rise. Providing consumers and businesses with a reliable and cheap alternative when making international calls, making cheap calls to Ukraine, France, Germany and hundreds of other countries a reality with virtually no barriers. And utmost simplicity.
