Continues Mason: “We are offering organisations in EMEA enterprise-class database management capabilities that are easier to deploy and provide a 90 percent TCO savings compared to traditional proprietary RDBMS software. Our success is clearly being reflected in the EMEA market by virtue of the record levels of interest being shown in MySQL. Growing our corporate sales team will help us execute on all our opportunities in 2006.”
Irish Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment Michel Martin TD, welcoming the expansion, said “this is excellent news as it further consolidates MySQL’s Dublin office and is to lead to a growth in employment of more than 50 new jobs over the next three years, creating positions mostly in sales but also in IT and administration. This expansion is in line with the Government’s and IDA Ireland’s objectives of attracting further sales and marketing operations in Ireland.”
