New service turns ordinary broadband into security ‘Spy’

A new service has launched that makes video security accessible to almost anyone with a broadband Internet connection.

EyeSpy247, from Internet innovators Defuturo Ltd, uses affordable, plug-n-play IP (Internet Protocol) camera technology to monitor home and business owners’ premises, and alert them to potential problems.

With an IP camera connected to the user’s broadband connection, EyeSpy24 receives video data from the user’s property automatically and stores it safely off-site. Users can then access live images via the web, and even from Internet-enabled mobile phones. When motion is detected, EyeSpy247 sends instant alerts by text message or email. Multiple cameras can be set-up on one account and family and friends can be added to receive alerts and access media.

The most ground-breaking aspect of the service is its price, which opens up this advanced technology to almost everyone. Using a pay-as-you-go system, EyeSpy247 requires no monthly contract and costs from just 11p a day. A starter package, including an IP camera with free delivery and 20 of service credit, is currently available for only 99.00.

EyeSpy247 supports Internet cameras from leading names such as Axis, Linksys, Panasonic and Y-Cam and anyone with a compatible camera can try the service for free.

Users can sign up and manage their account easily by visiting www.eyespy247.com, while additional support is also available from a UK-based customer services team.

“EyeSpy247 is an incredibly exciting service, because it has so many potential uses and is accessible to just about everyone,” says Paresh Morjaria, Managing Director of Defuturo Ltd.

“People can use it for everything from literally keeping an eye on their home while at work or on holiday, securing their business, to checking in on elderly relatives. With the price of IP cameras coming down all the time, and our pay-as-you-go pricing system, it’s never been easier or cheaper to get the peace of mind of video security.”
