The company’s solutions are based around two carrier-class products – Stratus and Mistral – which have already attracted tier-one customers such as Amena (Spain’s third largest GSM mobile operator) and Vodafone Spain.
Stratus is a convergent billing and settlement system, designed to provide
solutions for new billing challenges, and can rate and bill anything from
retail voice, to complex revenue sharing contracts.
Mistral is a mobile payments management platform, designed for operators participating in mobile payment schemes. The solution is compatible with the Simpay standard – the new mobile payments transaction scheme promoted by Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and Telefonica Mviles.
Tom Uhart, co-founder and managing partner of Nimbus Systems, said: “Since our inception in mid-2001, we’ve experienced prolific growth in Spain and are now ready to focus on expanding across northern Europe. Our international management team has expertise gained on some of the most complex billing settlement and mobile payment projects in Europe and North America. This, combined with our carrier class products and partnerships with industry heavyweights, such as IBM and SAS, puts us in a strong position.
“Our aim is to bring cost-effective and value-added solutions to European operators – providing them with a the rare option of a one supplier scenario in the mobile billing and payments sectors.”
Nimbus Systems will be present at 3GSM in February, and Billing Systems in
April 2005.
