“We will be working with Swale, a Premier Distribution Partner in the UK to continue our process of demonstrating to the industry that Siemon’s products really do offer proven leading edge technology and long-term value,” said Graeme Stoker, Siemon’s channel sales specialist.
“The value of the TERA Category 7 Connector is a message which is gaining
momentum in the UK, with more and more end users, consultants and installers approaching Siemon to understand the benefits of the system. It is really encouraging to see the reaction we get when we present TERA and its pair sharing capability in a working environment. The show provides the perfect platform to show the system in a working demo running up to 4 independent applications through one connector with a combination of 10G, 1Gig, 10/100, Voice, Video, CATV and CCTV. This can allow end users to install the highest level of copper cabling whilst still saving money,” he added.
Having been with Siemon for seven years and spending the last two years building relationships with the firm’s distribution, reseller and systems integrator channel, Stoker said he is looking forward to Telecoms 07, which is the first event of its type in the booming structured cabling marketplace.
At the show, Swale and Siemon will be working to convey the benefits of Siemon’s leading edge 10G, Fibre and Cat 7 TERA technologies, as well as its proven Cat 5e and Cat 6 solutions.
“The structured cabling market has evolved at a breathtaking pace in recent
times, with the result that many companies using structured cabling systems
are often unaware of the cost and performance benefits that can be derived from migrating to a faster system and/or cable sharing technology,” said Stoker.
“At Telecoms 07 Siemon and Swale will welcome existing customers to inform them of our new technologies, as well as promote Siemon and its solutions to new customers, many of whom believe that structured cabling has become a commoditised product,” he added. According to Stoker, nothing could be further from the truth, as new technologies abound.
“My key message to customers both old and new at the event is that ‘everyone is guaranteed a wide choice of the highest performing systems from Siemon that are solidly proven’. You only have to look at our TERA, Fibre and 10G solutions, all of which have a proven multi-year track record, to understand why we are one of a very few manufacturers that can make this claim,” he said.
“And, when you factor in that our structured cabling systems offer customers some of the best value and return on investment (RoI) in the market, thanks to their expected lifecycle combined with the cable sharing that is possible using our TERA technology, you’ll begin to understand our unique proposition of offering leading edge systems that deliver superb value, not to mention quality” he added.
In addition to the TERA Cat7 focus, Stoker went on to say that Swale and Siemon would use the Telecoms 07 event to demonstrate that 10G technology is not only for use in certain markets or customers. “At Siemon we have focused on communicating the value added benefits of 10G solutions to all vertical markets with considerable success, and we will continue to grow in this area, with continued marketing, product development and R&D.”
“Over 50% of our current UK project pipeline is represented by 10G systems. This, more than anything, illustrates the rate at which advanced structured cabling technologies are being adopted by the marketplace,” he said.
