A recent study from Forum 4 Business* has shown that the investment focus of such businesses has begun to shift from desktop to mobile solutions, making now the ideal time to launch a suite of fully hosted services
supported on a wide range of mobile phones and devices.

The applications offered include broadly appealing services, such as mobile instant messaging; real-time business and market information; email-push, calendar, contacts and tasks synchronisation; mapping and navigation solutions, as well as more complex workforce, sales and time management services.

Says Guy Rosenhoiz, Smart Global’s CEO: “By hosting and managing all applications centrally and enabling self service provisioning, we are removing the huge fixed costs and commitment associated with back office installation, providing the kind of low cost, highly functional mobile technology the small and medium enterprise market has been crying out for. We believe that until now, it has been prohibitive for smaller businesses to set-up key staff for true mobile working due to set-up costs, involved installation and IT intervention. However the impact on a business’s bottom line in terms of efficiency and effectivness in mobilising workforces is
undeniable.”

Kevin Piper, Head of Business Development at O2 finishes: “We are delighted to be working with Smart Global, their fresh approach to the issues and challenges that face small businesses is unquestionable. We have been providing mobile solutions to SME customers for over 15 years and as the leaders in non-SMS data services in the UK we are always looking for opportunities to better serve the needs of SMEs.”

Smart Global’s suite of services is offered on an initial 30-day trial period.

About Smart Global

Smart Global, a UK based company associated with one of UK’s leading mobile operators, is the world’s first provider of mobile data services specifically targeted at small and medium sized businesses. Smart services are supported by a wide range of mobile phones, PDA’s and BlackBerry devices, with payment via a monthly subscription fee, meaning no up-front investment is required. Businesses have the added reassurance of Smart Global’s dedicated customer care team and online support, freeing them from the daily hassle of technology management. Smart Global services are broadly appealing and include email-push, calendar, contacts and tasks synchronisation; instant messaging; real-time business and market information; mapping and navigation solutions, as well as more complex workforce, sales and time management services.
