Softscape Launches Asia Pacific Operations

Building on the company’s rapid global expansion, the Hong Kong team will expand Softscape’s operations to the APAC Region and provide localised sales, marketing, consulting, implementation, and support to best serve current and future customers in the region.

According to Gartner in an October 2004 report titled “Market Trends: Enterprise Resource Planning, Worldwide, 2003-2004” the improving economy in Asia has released the pent up demand for ERP systems and applications.

Gartner calculated that the ERP market grew 8 percent in 2003, the highest rate among all regions, with HCM solutions representing one of the strongest sectors. Gartner expects that this growth will continue across the region as economies further liberalise and Western investment continues.

The growing APAC market has given rise to many of the workforce planning and management challenges that Softscape is solving for companies in other regions of the world. Softscape’s award-winning products can be implemented and rapidly deployed across any size organization, in far less time, and at less cost than typical ERP vendors.

“Our continued profitable growth allows us to extend our operations into APAC as we did in Europe, bringing a full-service team into direct contact with our existing customers in the region, as well as driving new opportunities,”

said Dave Watkins, co-founder and CEO, Softscape.

“Softscape’s solutions are uniquely capable of enabling APAC HR teams to better manage their people amidst this growing economy and optimise the delivery of HR programs across diverse businesses and cultures.”

Softscape’s web-based Human Capital Management (HCM) Suite increases the productivity of an organisation’s people, facilitates long-term planning, simplifies work functions, and reduces operational costs and paper-based processing — ultimately improving an organisation’s bottom line. Further, Softscape offers the flexibility to link each component of the entire employee life cycle for strategic HR management either as a full suite or as individual modules. Softscape also offers integrated Web-based case management solutions to government agencies to enable cross-agency communication and streamline service delivery.

Raymond Kuo, director APAC, Softscape added:

“Companies in the region continue to scale globally and are seeking sophisticated operational solutions to meet the evolving market opportunities in the Asia Pacific market. Organizations are struggling with identifying, cultivating, and retaining talent as this growth strains traditional people management processes to the breaking point. As a result, Human Capital Management is quickly becoming an essential part of corporate strategy and our customers are alleviating this strain using Softscape’s integrated solutions to streamline their HR processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.”
