Sports Coach Links is a free social networking website for sports coaches – an exclusive membership to aid and support all levels of sports coaches worldwide. As its popularity snowballs, more and more coaches are signing up, realising the benefits of being part of a sports coach network – the chance to link to old friends, colleagues and make new contacts in the sports coach world. Already more than 300 users from 40 different sports have registered – from elite level coaches to volunteers.
The website has its foundations in the traditionally supportive network of sport coaching, where coaches are proud to share best practise and advice, wanting the best possible performance for all to ensure exciting and demanding competition.
“SportsCoachLinks.com provides new and exciting opportunities,” said the project founder Keith Binley, himself a management consultant turned sports coach. “It will open up your personal coaching support network and help develop your coaching career – whatever level of coach you are.”
Nottinghamshire-based Keith worked in management consultancy before training to become a squash and swimming coach. In his early coaching career he noticed that coaches were always willing to help each other, but that their support network was very limited. Through Sports Coach Links he has developed a global network of like-minded coaches who can share wisdom and support.
No sport is off limits. The network is drawing members from all types of sports and from countries around the world. Keith said: “All sports coaches want to get the very best from their players or athletes regardless of the event they are involved with. Techniques, coaching methods, discipline and motivation exist across the board, and Sports Coach Links is an exclusive social and professional networking site for sports coaches across ALL sporting disciplines.
“By creating profiles to promote skills and services and embracing the opportunity to develop their own coaching network worldwide, coaches are broadening their expertise and passing on their successes. Sports Coach Links is already benefitting sport around the world.”
