Telenity, a leading provider of next generation converged services platforms and applications for communications networks, today announced that it provided its Canvas SMSC, Short Message Service Center to Avea, the youngest and most innovative mobile operator in Turkey with over 10 million subscribers.

As a dynamic GSM operator, Avea’s goal is to create a difference with its innovative service approaches and leading applications while providing its subscribers with the best services for the most economic prices. In order to
achieve this goal, Avea needed to lower its operating and capital expenditures as well as increase the capacity and overall performance of its value added services. To this end, AVEA planned on upgrading its network infrastructure and in 2007 carried out legacy and end-of-life replacements, and installation of new equipment, mainly higher capacity converged messaging servers – Canvas SMSC – ready to support next generation services.

“From day one, Telenity demonstrated a deep understanding of our business
and technical requirements as well as the needs of our growing customer base,” said Jamal Fakory CTO at Avea. “With Telenity’s Canvas SMSC solution we were able to introduce the kinds of innovative messaging packages we had in our growth plans. Canvas SMSC provided us with a sound infrastructure for high SMS traffic volumes. We were able to generate great returns through peak times around holidays and the New Year.”

“Our mission has always been to enable our operator customers to enrich their subscriber’s personal and business lives by offering high quality communication services that reflect their true needs,” said Serif Beykoz, General Manager at Telenity Europe. “Canvas SMSC is a highly scalable platform and is well-suited to support Avea with the increased use of their SMS packages. We are proud to be Avea’s choice of messaging vendor.”
