UNIFI has expanded its direct routes with this agreement while enhancing its ability to deliver improved call completion rates and longer average call duration, which helps to increase average revenue per user for its customers around the world.

“We are very pleased to add Maroc Telecom to our growing network and to deliver quality voice services to our customers for their international traffic through our global VoIP network” said Adrian Shatku, President and CEO at UNIFI. “Our proven expertise in VoIP and easy and rapid implementation and integration of our services are improving the growth, productivity and profitability of leading operators such as Maroc Telecom. We are focused on the global deployment of advanced wireless networks and the delivery of cost effective and reliable broadband, mobile telephony and video services by utilizing the wireless products and services around the world”.

By interconnecting their network with The UNIFI Network, Maroc Telecom will be able to enhance its margins and revenue from inbound international traffic associated with their rapidly growing domestic network.

“As the leading telecommunications operator in Morocco, serving more than 97% of the population, it is important for us to reach to the customers around the world by offering competitive prices, high quality, and reliability” said Abdelwahd Aissa, Director of International Carriers. “We are very excited to partner with UNIFI and take advantage of the benefits that VoIP affords to connect to the rest of the world. VoIP presents us an excellent opportunity to grow our international traffic with competitive rates while delivering highest quality voice services to our subscribers”.

This interconnection allows Maroc Telecom to expand its capacity to meet the strong demand for international voice services with no additional capital investment. With UNIFI’s global VoIP network, Maroc Telecom benefits from the large volume of traffic that UNIFI is able to carry to Morocco for termination, which is an important source of revenue for operators.
