In a significant departure from traditional IT focused approaches, Zensar’s multi-stage methodology recognises that successful outsourcing needs equal emphasis on people, processes and technology, and uses a mix of workshops, consulting and training to prepare firms for successful offshore outsourcing. Zensar has inducted experienced consultants, trainers and behavioural specialists into the consulting team. The service guarantees results and has received an excellent response from clients worldwide. Zensar has used the new service to enable a major retailer in the UK and a large global optical lens manufacturing company in the US to offshore their IT and Business Intelligence applications for the first time.
“The full scale of what we have developed, and how it will work, is being shown for the very first time in London and we are delighted to have such an appropriate platform as the Gartner Summit for Zensar’s global launch of the offering,” said Gurdeep Grewal, Zensar’s Europe Region Head.
“In the last year Zensar has had considerable success with excellent growth in revenues and customers. With our services offering for the FTO segment we now expect to open up new markets, with Retail, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Utilities as four key growth sectors,” added Vivek Gupta, Sr. Vice President and Global Head of Zensar’s Global Outsourcing Services business.
Zensar’s consultative solution comprises a multi-stage FTO Service Pack:
- Leadership Team Imperatives Workshop (LT1): Need for FTO, identify expectations, educate and draw up an Action Plan
- Offshore Readiness Study: Assessing the customer’s readiness, looking at its applications, people, processes and technology, looking at risks and presenting a high-level business case for offshoring
- Application Portfolio Assessment: Mapping applications, categorizing them and giving priority to applications best suited for FTO
- Offshore Analysis Study: Defining a roadmap and offshoring plan, with strategy, timelines, transitioning and defining business benefits and ROI
- Phase 1 identification: Deciding on the first implementation, building a plan and team and formulating a contract
The launch of Zensar’s FTO services is on the opening morning at the Gartner Outsourcing & IT Services Summit, 16-18 April, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Zensar employs over 3,800 people globally with nearly 250 people based in the UK and Europe. It has a global customer base with strong engagements in all its accounts, and operates in 23 locations in 18 counties.
